Bern Switzerland

The city of Berne or Bern is the Bundesstadt (federal city) of Switzerland and, with 128,041 people, the fifth most populous city in Switzerland (after Zürich, Geneva, Basel and Lausanne).

Berne's city center is largely medieval and has been recognised by UNESCO as a Cultural World Heritage Site. Perhaps its most famous sight is the Zytglogge (bernese German for "Time Bell"), an elaborate medieval clock tower with moving puppets. It also has an impressive 15th century Gothic cathedral, the Münster, and a 15th century town hall.

If you visit only one city in Switzerland, Bern is at the top of my list, we have visited there many times.

Innsbruck Austria

Innsbruck is the capital city of the federal state of Tyrol in western Austria. It is located in the Inn Valley at the junction with the Wipptal (Sill River), which provides access to the Brenner Pass, some 30 km south of Innsbruck.

Lugano Switzerland

Lugano is in the south of Switzerland, in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, which borders Italy. The city lies on Lake Lugano and its warm summers, and the fact that in recent years it has attracted an ever growing number of celebrities, entertainers and successful athletes has given it the nickname of the "Monte Carlo of Switzerland" It is the 9th largest city of Switzerland by population.

The Gigerwaldsee and Saint Martin Switzerland

Saint Martin is only accessable in the summertime through a series of one way tunnels. Every 20 minutes, the traffic direction changes as there is barely enough room in the tunnels for one car...a small car. The sign above tells you what time you are allowed to travel which direction. Arriving in Switzerland 08.08.08

I departed the United States on the opening day of the China Olympics 08.08.08, transferring with my company from Golden, Colorado to Trubbach Switzerland.

I will be living here for a period of 3 months to 2 years, living in a hotel out of the 2 overstuffed suitcases that accompany me. I will attempt to recreate my journey, to date, adding information as I go.

The day I left, the Dow is at 11,734.32 and the Nasdaq at 2,414.10.

My goal is to capture all of the adventures and photographs of the places I visit and be able to share with those I left behind.
